haloscan says monday on the hyperlinks

The cookie reading to keep your specs in place so you don't have to continually retype them is presenting some sort of a problem, which vexes me no end because it is dirt simple, or has been for everyone until now at least. I suspect it has something to do with their desire to have the email field sign people up for comments subscriptions... which is a sucky idea, but they are holding on to it.

Anyway, I just got an email that says the urls you paste into comments will be automatically turning into hyperlinks again on Monday. This will be a major relief to everyone I'm sure. Meanwhile, embedded links seem to be working fine, and so you can use those if you want. The html code to do that is [a href="url pasted here"]words you embed link behind[/a] where you replace those brackets with "less than" and "greater than" symbols [aka sideways v's, aka arrowheads) that correspond to the directions of the brackets... and Bob's yer uncle.... It's useful to tell you about this now because I'm not sure we can rely on this bit of news about the return of automatic hyperlinks....
