The Dalai Lama eats meat. Nanchuan killed a cat. The teaching is for learning fundamental reality. Once you get it, the teaching too is delusion. It's NOT religion.
No one has to "marry" anyone else politically; no one has to embrace every tenet or belief that an anti-imperialist ally might hold.
