Been listening to Valerie Wilson testify under oath to Congress this afternoon. There is no doubt whatever that she was an undercover CIA agent, Counterproliferation Division. A visual aid from the Libby trial is being used in the course of the questioning. It shows at a glance -- and very effectively -- the people at the White House involved in blowing her cover. It can no longer even be described as a "leak"... more like an all out campaign to destroy her, putting at mortal risk every person who has ever been seen to be dealing with her throughout the course of her career. I just heard her testify that she was aware that Novak was going to publish her name a week before he did it. She alerted her bosses who were unable to prevent him from doing so. Let that sink in. Whatever the process, this means that high ranking CIA officials told Novak that publishing that information would have dire consequences, and he did it anyway. Let that sink in. What in the world could have induced him to do it anyway? He had to be told he would not suffer any consequences. There is absolutely no other way he would have done it. Let that sink in.
