another great discovery

This piece by Nicole Belle at Crooks and Liars has ignited another conflagration in my fevered brain. New term:

Concern Troll Media!

There is an increasing drum beat against the recent use of the term "al-Qaeda" instead of, or in conjuction with, the term "insurgents" by the Concern Troll Media when reporting the violence in Iraq. Suddenly, everyone with an attitude is referred to as "al-Qaeda". Not a good sign. Nosirreebob. Not good at all. I'd insert YouTube examples of the new usage, but they're all over Outer Blogistan and the Liberal Blogosphere... and... well... they just piss me off so badly I might have to hurt somebody.

In my country -- that is to say the United States of America -- we have ZERO TOLERANCE for most of what has taken place in government and in media over the last 6+ years, and much of what had taken place in them for decades before that. The 109th Congress could be blamed on an evil strain in the Republican Party. So could much of what has transpired in this time frame. But, with the 110th Congress, it's clear it isn't a partisan thing anymore. Not at all. And none of the candidates for President so far wants to do anything about it. Not one of them. Ordinarily, when you have a rogue administration you can look to Congress. Well, strike that one. Okay, then there's the Supreme Court... oh, wait! Silly me. Okay, then how about the Justice Department? Uh... I'm not kidding. I want you to try revolution.
