comment i left at my hero's blog

It is my long-considered and now firmly-held opinion that Dennis Kucinich does not want to be President, that he wants the platform for expressing his great ideas badly enough to exert himself, but that is all. The only way to keep in debates and get the speaking engagements is to PRETEND you are avidly seeking the nomination. I know the man is very intelligent, and I cannot imagine him indulging in the kinds of clownishness he so readily does if this were not the whole truth of the matter. Geeky as he does look, he is quite brilliant enough to mitigate that impression strongly by his bearing, his demeanor, his expression. I have seen the man when he is being serious as a heart attack, and the geek factor all but disappears then.

The deal is: THE TIMES ARE SO DIRE THAT WE NEED TO BE PUTTING OUR ENERGIES BEHIND A GOOD CANDIDATE WHO BOTH CAN AND WILL WIN.

That means we have to DRAFT someone, because he/she sure isn't running as of now.
