[I made a mistake when I posted this yesterday, so have corrected it here. I'd gotten my links confused at his website. Bless the buddhas of the ten directions for Homie, who set me straight, and sent me a rough translation. I didn't need it somehow, but I love it.]
Why wouldn't our government test market that instead of death and hate?
Do listen! Listen closely to the voice you would strike from the air.
Listen, I tell you! You don't need to know the meaning of the words.
The sound will tell you who you are.
[The language is Persian, Fereydoon Moshiri reciting one of his poems. Moshiri died before * took office, as big a blessing for any Iranian as it would have been for any of us, I'm sure you'd agree.]
And, yes, it was what put me in mind to post The Trip to Haida Gwaii.
