risking your life

...the entire reason none of them [or should I say us?] saves the world....

You know, I really don't watch tv... a little when I visit my parents who have theirs on from 5:30 to 11:30 every evening... but mostly I don't even watch with them. The crap just blasts in my ears from the other room all night and I holler in to them intermittently that they're listening to a bunch of fascist lies, or bellow betimes about really not wanting to hear about erections lasting over four hours and incontinence between bursts of B-R-I-T-N-E-Y. So maybe my brain isn't too tainted to hear what is actually going on. Or, I'm just strange. Pick.

But, if you've fallen victim to habit and clicked the picture of a couple of our beautiful bodhisattvas who ignored that they'd be murdered for doing the right thing, you will have found some news about Hugo Chavez catching it now for trying to be understanding about FARC's position. I really, really love people who can keep their brains from being too tainted by the repeated clobberations from their knees whacking them in their own chins. It's to the point where I can say it is THRILLING. I like to follow people with thrilling minds, and sorry to say they are mostly male and mostly not American these days.

Things are so heinously miserable for so many on Earth right now because it is mostly people who won't give their lives being led by criminals and some others of their same ilk who have been particularly good at posturing. Nobody thinks anything in the world is really worth dying for... but maybe the poor bozos in the military and suicide bombers. If people could kill their own egos, they'd see that being willing to die is the only thing that keeps everyone alive.
