unfair to dennis

People at other sites are getting upset with Dennis because he's not doing the New Hampshire recount right, especially not keeping after the chain-of-custody thing. We're so tired of all the disappointments, all the moments when it looks as if something actually American is going to prevail and then our hopes being dashed. I just wrote this in an email to a friend:
Dennis was Mayor at 23, after growing up with nothing, in a family spending all its time scrambling for the basics. No real world experience at all before getting directly into government. He is a good administrator, but he is not a good fighter. He's flakey as hell nowadays because his priority is his new thirty-years-younger-than-him wife. He doesn't get enough protein eating beansprouts with carrot sauce, and neither does she. Between them, this "campaign" is darn spotty. He's in it to talk issues, but the cigar-smoking old boys (and girls) are sick of that shit, and in order to stay speaking the issues he has to pretend he really wants to be president... and he has to withstand all the insults about his size and his wussiness... beside all the intense supporters being crestfallen if he doesn't give it his all. He has to do all kinds of shit this time to stay seeming viable that no one ever had to do before... and all he really wants is to just go off to some tropical isle with his young thang and let the world go by.

We had enough warning in 2004 to have been ready behind all the little candidates to get kick-ass perfect recounts, and we didn't do it. We jumped in like lightning, but, obviously, that doesn't cut it. Dennis did not get a serious campaign team together because he's not serious and didn't see the need to have power hitters working for him. That's what he would need to grok all the imperatives that fast, and, well... he didn't have it. HE SHOULD NOT HAVE TO HAVE HAD IT. We gotta remember he and the other guy on the Republican side have been thrust into this election integrity hero shit COMPLETELY UNFAIRLY.

The NH SoS should have been on it instanter... on the people of NH's behalf. Clinton and Obama should have been hollering to check the integrity of that result. The reason we have officeholders in charge of this shit is precisely to guard against hanky-panky and now they ARE the hanky-panky!

We have to face that the plutocrats have come up with the infallible way to game the system and there IS no way to turn it around without masses of citizens MAKING it turn around by dint of the threat of sheer force, if not sheer force itself.
Or is there some other really creative way to get America back? If so, we better get on it.

[Ya know, sometimes I think I swear too much....]
