4/22/2008 5:27:32 AM A South Carolina pastor posted a sign in front of his church linking U.S. Democratic presidential hopeful Barack Obama with al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden.

Pastor Roger Byrd said he was not trying to be political and just wanted to make people think when he put up a sign reading "Obama, Osama - humm, are they brothers" in front of the Jonesville Church of God on Thursday.

Byrd said he wouldn't take the sign down after his congregation voted unanimously Sunday to keep it up, WYFF-TV reported Monday on its Web site.

According to a recent Associated Press-Yahoo News poll 15 percent of respondents said they thought the Illinois senator, who attends Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago, was a Muslim.

The cynical use of birdbrains is most of the battle. They're helpless without them.
