oh, well, heh, i needn't have bothered

...because I took my contacts out last night. I just went out for a smoke, and took off my computer glasses to look up at the stars, and... ha! The Pleiades, big as heck! So pretty. But wait! There seem to be more than seven in that cluster. And, hey, it's looking like another of those giant space amoebae... oh, crap, that's not the Pleiades or a giant space amoeba! That's me looking at an ordinary old star out of my blind old naked eyeballs!

I swear, I know precisely why van Gogh painted heavenly objects the way he did!
