She made a gaffe about karma recently, even though I can understand where she was coming from, and think she was trying to make a positive point in good faith. It isn't done to open your mouth about the evils of people afflicted with great natural disaster before a decent interval....

Anyway, the correct understanding of the term "karma" is not superstitious like that. It is simply the completely natural laws of cause and effect ceaselessly working in the world. China can scarcely have done anything to cause that earthquake. Often, as you have no doubt noticed, people do rotten things and great stuff keeps happening to them, impervious to poetic justice. So, from the personal angle, the thing to remember is that karma will teach each that which they most need to know... if they are of a mind to take the lesson. I think Sharon Stone is of a mind to take the lesson, but hasn't been able to rid herself of enough delusion to be able to see it.

My advice would be for her to, finally, get over her obsession with sluttiness. That would be a fine start. I don't believe the bit in her bio about testing 154 on IQ, and it seems Mensa is skeptical about that too, but surely she could step outside of herself enough to see the floozy bit, by the time yer fifty for crapsakes, gets seriously old, and very draining. She even sued a movie studio to put more nudity and sex in one of her films rather than less. She clearly can do class, but it's nearly as clear that is just acting, and if she's serious about Buddhism, she needs to get a handle on this pervasive personality problem.

And don't give me no lip about women's lib, and all of us having a right to be sexual beings. Blah, blah, blah. Crap. It bespeaks an almost paralyzing insecurity and THAT is so painful as to be frequently TERMINAL. So, leave us get real here on that score.
