Gambling magnate, third richest man in the United States, Sheldon Adelson is a supporter of the bloodthirsty Bibi Netanyahu and arch enemy of, not bloodthirsty enough I guess, Ehud Olmert. If you have the patience to read this New Yorker profile, you can gape at the vast sums he gives to Jewish causes. While I was reading it I was thinking, Sheesh, this guy is a one-man AIPAC. He seems to have prevailed in Israel on the matter of the prime minister. I recommend you take the time to read the New Yorker piece because it's a pretty good portrait of how plutocracy works.
