resisted the urge to stop for a bob marley lighter this time
There was only the one left that I bought last time, and I don't know if they were getting more or not, and I have two, which both ran out of fluid in the first day after leaving to go south this time, and my fluid, of course, was still home. The Other Max saved me from my vexing problem of continually forgetting to get a working lighter or at least a book of matches, just a couple days before the right pills to do the same job started going down my throat every morning. Let us hope this improvement persists. Heck, you might even be able to expect me to remember things well enough to function any time now.
Agent BB2 just sent me this link about Google maybe making us stupid, and I'm contemplating now how much of my big problem with sudden stupidity is due to the influence described in that piece. I prefer to look at it as just a transition into a new and, I hope, better neural pattern and I will become fluent and productive in it just as soon as I'm used to it... if indeed Google is making me stupid.
I'm set against making you stupid... and interested in the kind of fluency that will help lift you out of this bog if Google is making you stupid too.
So, anyway, by the time I hit Garberville it was getting on toward going to be too hot to dawdle with bits like squirreling Bob Marley lighters, and pressed on for the blessed relief of the fog banks of home.
