Pelosi is making her pathetic noises about it, which only says to me that she's trying to make some political hay out of it before she caves in, and, of course, Obama took out a few moments to sound presidential over it and McCain wants to bring in Warren Buffet and Mitt Romney and Mike Bloomberg for an oversight board for it. They're all in agreement that it has to happen and CEOS of bailed out banks can't be getting paid bagillions of dollars for it. Both candidates think they can still pay for all their programs after this. McCain insists it won't involve raising taxes.

I'm in a coma somewhere, hallucinating in the most unhappy way.

The Wall Street crisis was manufactured and now they are going to pay them upwards of a trillion dollars for ruining our economy. Our economy is still ruined, and will be, but the banks won't go bust. You will still be able to get your money from them, only you will be able to by radically less with it. People will starve. People will go homeless. But the fuckers who manufactured this disaster will be just fine.

I was going to say I'd believe this when I see it, but the Democrats have fucked up so badly, fucked us so badly, I'm not sure I'll believe it even then... beside this bailout in ANY form being an irredeemably bad idea anyway.
