Will you guys make up your minds? This dude seems to think everything is coming up roses, we have suffered a singularly-deserved complete defeat in Iraq, and Bob is our uncle, but what was all that about the kabazillions of Iraq oil dollars that are now "ours" [or, more accurately, the Fed's... still more accurately, the Rockefellers....]?
From the Foreign Policy Journal piece I linked a couple days ago: The terms of the agreement effectively allow the U.S. to continue to control billions of dollars of proceeds from the sale of exported Iraqi oil held in the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. It also contains numerous loopholes that could allow the continuing long-term presence of U.S. military forces and would effectively maintain U.S. jurisdiction over crimes committed by American soldiers.
So, well, somebody clear this up for me please. I'm too muddled right now.
