Every single appointment he's made, with the blaring exception of the energy and climate positions mandated by Al Gore, have been pure politics. And, in a sense, we can rely on those being politics too. That Gore promised not to run, or promised not to endorse, or promised something important, in exchange for the ability to dictate those appointments.

AL GORE HAS BEEN THE HERO OF THIS TRANSITION.

Obummer has flunked. Flunked. An F-. His vaunted judgment, thus far, has not veered from the politically astute in favor of the real right people for these jobs. I feel like barfing in my shoe and sending it to him.
