I don't want to talk about this lame ass UN resolution, and don't get me started on the obscenity in our Senate, either, but this one little snippet in the al-Jazeera piece

Fakhry said it was "difficult to see how this [the resolution] is going to be enforced given the fact that the United States has decided to abstain thereby sending a clear signal that it will not do anything whatsoever to pressure its closest ally [Israel]".

They really are NOT our closest ally. They are our worst enemy. In a lucid world they are the worst enemy of everyone. Like in a lucid world WE are the worst enemy of everyone. I HATE having to back up and qualify shit, pander to the sightless, to make sure idiots and bigots and pigs don't get the wrong idea. I am aware that the population of Israel is largely as "innocent" of intent or desire to commit these crimes against humanity, as most of us are "innocent" of these with respect to the atrocities carried out in our name. I get that.

We are all adults in a world lousy with psychopaths on a planet that only has room for true humans.

I'm just as upset with us as I am with them because this atrocity, this long-aching holocaust, was initiated by us and has been backed by us for sixty years. I want the STATE of Israel to disappear from the map of time, not the people. I want the cruel Zionists, the vicious Zionists to lose once and for all time. And I want Palestinian Jews and Muslims to flourish there for the rest of time.

God fucking dammit! Do better.
