Even though it is clear to me that the leadership in Iran is orders of magnitude more decent in terms of basic humanity than any of ours, the capital punishment thing is outright barbaric, inhuman, and there is no excuse for it, not in ten thousand Qur'ans. It is here, too, of course, and this is unerringly their reason for telling us to shut up and mind our own business about it, and rightly so.
