i get the distinct impression the world is trying to tell us something

I don't know if I'm just hearing things, the echoes of decay, or if there's someone out there trying to get through, but it just keeps happening. I keep thinking I'm hearing pleas for sense in the distance....

I feel certain they mean to normalize it in the sense that it becomes a functioning society with good governance, a place where the people's needs are met and human rights abuses don't prevail, but I am the daughter of The Tooth Fairy, of course, and so it could mean only just to get us out of there and let the chips fall where they may. What we want out of Afghanistan is wanted by all the others as well. All I can tell for sure is that the SCO and the UN seem to be wanting a strong and healthy Afghanistan for the Afghani people... which is what I want.

They may only be saying that because it's good PR.
