Or maybe you want more.... I love that he called these pieces "Gnossiennes"... a made-up word that implies ownership of knowledge... [gnosis + siennes]... or perhaps earthy knowledge if you take off the last "s" and think of the earthen color Sienna, which I think is "Sienne" in French.
