what? what? what?

Will somebody explain to me what is the holdup on mitigations for this? An aggravatingly incomplete account over at TPM doesn't explain it to me at all. And, another pressing question, why is Al Gore bashed so mercilessly by so many on the matter of climate change? Are there real grounds for it? What is the basis for this thrashing he gets? I asked Rivero once and he shot back with some psychedelic blather about technicians he worked with on a tv commercial shoot telling him the real story... which is... well... that's just weird. I want somebody to tell me what in the heck Gore ever did that could form a basis for the unrelenting abuse of him... a cogent argument... even an almost cogent one would help.

Because it's so much more comfortable to ignore the problem, all the while slaying the messenger!

What!?! You mean they're that rabid simply because it's too uncomfortable for them to think about? Even so, surely one or some of them has ever had to furnish something approximating a lucid basis for this Gore-bashing, something that could explain its pervasiveness and longevity.... Somebody has to clue me in.

Well, he's a rich white man that plays the part of savior of the environment. But in reality he's just another rich white Son of a Bitch with a platform and funding to stay on that platform. He'll change just enough to make it acceptable for the masses of asses. Back to BB2 @ 1--> acceptable to the comfortable masses. Al the while enjoying his heated pool.

What do I know I live OTG in a schoolbus?

  4. A better question for Rivero is: "WHY do you think Al Gore would make this up?"

    Isn't that a good question?

It's one thing to say Gore is lying. But it's another to answer WHY they think he would make it up.

Do they ever give a reason?
