
Mine That Bird was just in line to provide a nice return on almost no investment, but now he may end up becoming the next John Henry, a gelding to break the hearts of Thoroughbred breeders everywhere.
[Slightly better video of race, but the guy calling the race couldn't have done a worse job. I know he wasn't watching Mine That Bird, but you'd think at least he'd have noticed the leaders getting passed so spectacularly before he was already five lengths up.]
