The only nearly-reasonable excuse for it, though still not reasonable enough by light years, is that we owe it to the whole world to pay back as many of their losses from our financial industry's perfidies as possible, but don't give me any crap about "change" and "hope" and Obama presidenting for the naked and starving hordes... which he's insuring includes us to the greatest extent possible because our oligarchs won't have it any other way.

Don't tell me that an intelligent human acting in good faith couldn't have almost immediately come up with a vastly better for everyone on earth plan to deal with this mess. I don't care WHAT excuse is ever given, there IS no excuse that can begin to excuse it.

Or the wimp-out on torture prosecutions.

Or bombing the crap out of innocents.

Or dancing around with bombers of the crap out of innocents.

He's doing a SHIT job.

PERIOD.

[And it doesn't mitigate it that Clinton would have done the same... with alacrity....]
