Spare me.

Here's the link to the whole 2009 Correspondents' Dinner on C-SPAN. There were some good jokes in there, but, you know, it creeps me out how people just talk as though the president owns the country all the time. He's the CEO of the Administrative Branch and the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces. He's not the king. He's not supposed to have any power to order any of us around or hold us without probable cause and due process of law. This one says he'll complete his second hundred days in seventy-two days and rest on the seventy-third. Will that include putting the Constitution back in order? Standing down from the military adventures? Giving any of our money toward stuff that benefits us?

He's really a pretty darn good novelist, but this Twitter shit is driving me batty. The ONE decent part of it seems to be that it's good for breaking important news. Not in detail, of course, just snips of raw data, but surely there could be a better format for that.
ReplyDeleteI'd like something that updates my Twitter feed onto the front of a T-shirt
ReplyDeleteThen they would think it was a bomb and he would be arrested as a terrorist!
