What was the saying?

All hat and no cattle?

Something like that.

So I gotta really go with *'s big notion of being vindicated by history is based on us figuring out one day that there was a coup on 9/11... or even in the 2000 election... maybe even before that. Whutever. I can't bring myself to believe that Obama believes anything coming out of his mouth. That is absolutely NOT in defense of him. In fact, it makes him even more culpable, and * and Fudd and however many more before him, and I am beside myself pissed off.

The first part of this nearly hour-long interview of David Rose by Scott Horton contains some very salient information about the kind of games being played by the current administration, the very possible explanation for the news that Obama was threatening to withhold intelligence from Britain if certain evidence was entered in the Binyam Mohamed case. Seems Clinton, or someone in the administration, really only agreed to take the fall for blocking evidence the British government itself wanted to stay out. My gripe here is that our new administration keeps showing itself to be as avid as the last about playing outrageous games with justice and human rights and bullshitting their way through making trillions for plutocrats. The interview then goes off into all kinds of nuance about the crap that went down in the prosecution of the Iraq war, which is interesting on its own merits, but THIS bit comes in the first few minutes of the interview and I wish you'd give a listen.

Do you think this might have been handled by now?

Or maybe the president just hasn't gotten around to making this stuff clear to the military yet? Or maybe the president isn't really in charge of the military at all? WHAT could be the excuse for it?
