Something I don't get.
If he is released, therefore innocent, why no country want to take him? What does that mean? Why can't he return to where he used to live?

I always wonder that, too, Homie. I just think it must have to do with countries not wanting to take the chance of one of them forming some kind of "revenge" movement at home, bringing the dreaded American torturers down on their heads.

The Uighurs can't go home because they were dissidents and China would treat them as harshly as we did, and I think they should be allowed into the United States, but I don't get the hitch with so many of the others unless it is purely that the home countries don't want to take ANY chances.

They ALL should be released to wherever they want to go, with all kinds of reparation money from us.

THAT would be the best justice we could give for the the horrors they have endured, WHETHER they were guilty of anything to begin with.

But, no, THAT would be too AMERICAN.

They need so much more than money!

Without it, a revenge movement is indeed a possibility.
