I wonder when it will occur to Swanson there has been a coup, that perhaps 9/11 was the coup, or perhaps even the 2000 election was the coup.... Holder assured Swanson on the way out of a hearing recently, in answer to a question about prosecuting torturers, "You will be proud of your government." Did he mean he'd be proud or end up in a concentration camp, or whut?

Yes. I think that's when they first tried it, but I don't think they got serious-enough, strong-enough, until 2000. Took them all that time to get the people they needed in the positions they needed.

I hold out hope that those people are being covertly knocked out of place, which was the "proud" part Holder was speaking about, but, well, you know, I am a dreamer....
