I am very concerned about the Sotomayor nomination, as well as the other things discussed, but, truly, I find myself extremely uneasy about the one thing we thought Obama was for sure going to do right: tilt the Supremes back off the brink of frank fascism. I no longer have any confidence he will do that. I don't like the political astuteness of picking a Latina, and I don't like that this makes six Catholics on the Court. I wouldn't like it if it were six Muslims, six Jews, six Hindus, six Buddhists, what have you. Now I'm reminded that she may well be as obliging on executive privilege as the cabal already in place.
I don't like the smell of it. Obama has done nothing but oblige oligarchs and they wish to maintain completely unstoppable power through a puppet presidency. That is perfectly crystal clear.
And. well, I am so impressed by this guy. He seems to have a rare grasp of the imperatives coupled with an unshakable dignity. Most people who grasp the imperatives lose their dignity in the face of the psychedelic abuses of these very imperatives, and so, largely, fail to make their mark in the general population. I don't think Glenn will fall into this trap. You should try always to keep your eyes and ears open for opportunities to take in what he has to share.

Failure to oblige the oligarchs would result in a Biden presidency.
ReplyDeleteSo?
ReplyDeleteHow could it be worse?
If they took Obama out with another phony terrorist attack, things could quickly get a lot worse and the mourning sheeple wouldn't look up.
ReplyDeletePfeh. They won't look up now!!!!!! No worries on THAT account, for sure. And the ones who are even worse, the ones who think they ARE looking up, are all over at groupthink reviling the reprehensible Ahmadinejad! OMG! They'll so totally understand when Obama has no choice but to invade Iran.
