Well this is one of those stories that tears both ways:

Patric Cudahy Plant burns down.

I remember fondly, as a child growing up in Milwaukee, always having their bacon for breakfast and BLTs. It was really good and their jingle was always on the TV and radio:

"Patric Cudahy bacon tastes so good because
Patric Cudahy bacon's smoked with
Sweet Apple Wood."

I feel sorry for the close to 2,000 workers their and all of the local businesses that depend on the business of the workers.

BUT THEN

The corporate owner is Smithfield!

Boy does that ruin a childhood dream!
