  1. I heard this on none other than Mike Savage. But his take on it, was "we all know what he was doing there".

I recently got into an argument with a rightwing friend of mine, over rightwing radio. He said I was one of those guys who depends on what "liberals" say about rightwing radio, and I don't listen to it myself and make my own judgements.

As it turned out, I listen to rightwing radio more than he does.

  2. How can you listen to that shit? It's bad enough when it's someone wonderful like Malloy, getting through all the commercials, but then add in the wingnut crap and it's got to make your head want to explode. I can't move fast enough across the dial from that shit.

  3. As short as it is, the article has a lot more info than the one I read elsewhere. The other one merely said he was looking at houses - no mention of peeking in windows, nor did it mention that it was raining and he had a hood on.

  4. I listen to it, so I can hear the enemy, what they're talking about. Know your enemy.

  5. When I listen to Brad filling in for Malloy, I lose interest b/c there's so many commercials.

  6. What's funny is, I don't think I ever wrote that down anywhere, that I listen to a lot of rightwing radio. It's all that's on!

But, Savage was saying the story about Bob Dylan, and at first he sounded like he was siding with Dylan, saying the cops shouldn't have bothered him. THEN...he goes: "we all know what he was doing there, in a poor, minority section".

That's what I mean, by giving these jackasses a "chance", they always end up showing their true colors. Like Pat Buchanan. Glenn Beck. Sure, they say some true, good things. But their true colors always come back out.

  9. I think Big Dan is right about knowing the enemy by listening in, but (I say) one rule must be followed first.

First before you partake in such an endeavor, you must learn to filter. You have to train your mind.

If you can kill your TV/AM/FM forever, your on your way, but... you must also learn to detect lies, spin, and missing data. Once you get that, you can listen to anything again.

You can turn on your TV and hear how they trail headlines by 24 hours, you can turn on your radio and see how they keep certain topics guided the way they want.

And yeah Big Dan, since they killed everything else all that is on is the propaganda. I don't like to call it rightwing anymore though. Cause part of my filter is I have learned democrats are just as bad as republicans, I hate them both.
