Well Hey!, are you bumming someone elses computer? Damn I wish I had the money, I'd have bought you a new computer..oh well, at least your still alive and kicking.
No. I bought a new one. Will be paying on it for the rest of time and it isn't as nice as the old one, even though it's much faster and fancier.
I'm a damn wreck. Can't get anything off my old machine until it's fixed or turned into an external drive. All my billions of bookmarks and blogging tricks and image tools are all akimbo or missing completely and it's just not going to be pretty for quite a while.
Yuh. That's the Zen approach for sure and I just need to keep my tail out of a knot about all this upheaval. I see my daily visitors went tanking the minute I announced my death. Hope I get it together to blog some more stuff and get my little crowd back.... Even though, I have been ripening to the point where I really feel I may start going in different directions online. This week with part of my brain blacked out on me has put me back in touch with my personal power source. So, heck, it could get better or differenter here pretty soon.
Thanks, Phil, but it's going to be simple as heck once I get to the Apple Store. I just live too far away from everything to just pop to the repair shop is my problem. If it's the power supply on the old machine, I'll have it replaced and I'll have a perfect computer back. If it isn't, I'll have them yank the hard drive and turn it into an external drive for my new machine. The hitch is getting it together to make ANOTHER looooooong trip.
Sorry about that, I assume everyone just orders parts online and have them delivered. I guess I am getting too tied to eBay. (I love it) But anyway, I'd relax if I were you, since whatever happened has happened, you can't change it. Although you might be able to fix it still.
Anyway yeah peace, do what you have to do. I was only throwing ideas out. I would love to have an iMac, but the first thing I would have to do is fork out more dough for Final Cut Pro, as I wouldn't be happy with iVideo at all.

The morons in Washington are pushing the envelope of nuclear war. The insane drive for American hegemony threatens life on earth. The American people, by accepting the lies and deceptions of “their” government, are facilitating this outcome. —Paul Craig Roberts
I am a child of the South. Janet Napolitano tells me I need to be afraid of people who are labeled white supremacists but I was raised around white supremacists. I am not afraid of white supremacists. I am concerned about my own government. The Patriot Act did not come from the white supremacists, it came from the White House and Congress. Citizens United did not come from white supremacists, it came from the Supreme Court. —Cynthia McKinney
No one has to "marry" anyone else politically; no one has to embrace every tenet or belief that an anti-imperialist ally might hold. You simply have to say: "All of us, regardless of our other views, believe this truth to be self-evident: dismantling the empire will bring immediate and enormous benefits to our nation and to the world." —Chris Floyd

ReplyDeleteAin't nothing like having the silence of no computers for several days. It makes ya get some neglected life things in order.
ReplyDeleteRegarding getting your data back.
