Oh, I just love permanent housing for the winter and for a big 200 families. I guess I shouldn't gripe, because it IS something, but it is SO a drop in the bucket that it kind of is depressing it should make the news at all... like a politician hoping a placebo will cure the illness of the thousands left bereft. It drives me nuts how those who need our solidarity the most turn into vermin to residents and law enforcement alike when they get too near. It's like you can stand that there are rats around if you never SEE them, but resort to discouragement and extermination techniques when you can't blot out their presence from your senses.
