[click image]The Algonquin version of the Buddhist concept of Hungry Ghosts, the embodiment of greed, hate and delusion and their ill effects on humans, individually and severally, as we have seen, seems to be the totem monster for a psychopath quite determined to ruin everyone's days on the tubes. By "quite determined" I mean that he's been at it for a long time, many years, and does not sleep for very long stretches. His output can become so prodigious that it is very difficult to make yourself believe he is in fact a person and not some extremely pernicious machine. He doesn't just go by "The Wendigo" or "Wendigo". He has multitudes of screen names for different aspects of his personality and different needs for disguise. What may seem incongruous to many is that he identifies with liberalism, progressivism, and his hatred seems to stem from his impatience with liberal and progressive weakness of mind. He doesn't ever seem to reflect on the glaring weaknesses of his own mind, or if he does he only seems to come back lashing out even harder.
I'd thought there for a while that he must have been hauled off to the bin again -- which I ordinarily don't support as a means of dealing with the demons of the clinically insane, but, clearly, would be a mercy for the poor bastard, not to mention us. But maybe he's just been over on Facebook and My Space, and doubtless Twitter, instead of sliming Outer Blogistan with his vile secretions, because I've suddenly been getting a bunch of hits on my first post about the psychology of this varmint. That would seem to indicate either that someone popular is bringing up this ancient mythological teaching tool, or that someone using this moniker is inspiring a lot of people to Google it. I'm tending toward the latter as the explanation since no one more popular than I am seems to come up on the search.
A tiny amount of looking around indicates he has indeed decided social networking is a better venue for venting his hatreds. And... I'm sorry... but... uhm... good. You guys deal with it. Time you got an education about the glaring shortcomings of society on the tubes. For all the great stuff that we can say about it, it is the perfect tool for confusing you so much more than you already are that words can't start to cover it. Consider the depredations of the one-eyed whisperer of evil, Iblis, yet another ancient mythological teaching tool, in the form of your television set. Well. Guess what! Just because you can communicate via THIS one eye, doesn't mean it isn't whispering evil to you you nonstop, and in many, many disguises.
