I've never been able to be a snob about Eddie Van Halen.

Here's eleven minutes of him going pretty damn nuts solo....

But I have to muster myself to find the guitar heroes thing he did something like 25 years ago, where he REALLY put out everyone's lights....

Yes. He was too far over the top for sure. The whole band pretty ridiculous, but Eddie... dammit... Eddie can play the guitar... just no getting around it. I'm trying to scramble around in my scramble to remember which group of super-guitarists thing he played in that blew everyone's doors off.... See if I can find maybe some audio of that.... Because the guy is way better than his band.
