This means is particularly dreaded because they wouldn't have to even make us want to have something we don't need. They can sit back and watch us enrich them out of desperation not to spoil our whole planet.
"Time is up," de Boer said. "Over the next two weeks governments have to deliver."
Finance — billions of dollars immediately and hundreds of billions of dollars annually within a decade — was emerging as the key to unblocking an agreement that would bind the global community to a sweeping plan to combat climate change.
THIS DOESN'T MEAN WE DON'T HAVE TO CLEAN IT UP RIGHT THIS VERY NOW.

I said instantly, the timing of the hacked emails was to discredit this meeting. Think about it: the emails are YEARS old...and the released them right before this conference.

ReplyDeleteIn Rocklin there is about an inch making everything white, 6-8 inches in Auburn, up to 2 feet in Colfax and 3+ feet in the mountains.
This wave is about over - moving into the San Joaquin valley now. Next wave - warmer sub-tropical storm due in Wednesday with heavier storm next weekend.
It's really cold here, but no snow. Seems we had our first freeze while I was sleeping, but no snow. It's flippin' COLD. And this is very strange for me because I had my own private year-around summer for about fifteen years and can't afford the loss of it.
ReplyDeleteAnd, yes, Danny, the hacking was timed for Copenhagen for sure. They are playing hardball. They won't give up until actual physical force is used. Even if they lose on climate and we switch over to sustainable stuff, they are going to be fucking with that until they are MADE to stop. That kind of money isn't something people just shrug and lose.
