Dear 99,

It seems that 9/11 is the gift that keeps on giving, the one-size-fits-all lie. Need a couple of wars? No problem. Tighten the bolts on a fascist state? Coming right up.

I was just sitting here wondering what the hell happened to my generation. I thought we were going to save the world. We, like, way, so way, did not save the world... and I feel like such a rube to have thought there could be a bottom to this stuff... that there were depths to which no one, least of all an American, would sink. Pfeh.
