big fat lie in the eye

.
At first I was happy about this coverage, but then came:
No one knows for sure what members of the camera crew got, since they were outside and are not speaking. But their work may show whether the shot in question was fired from outside.
...followed by the news that the police have the tape, the family's attorney only saw parts of it and does not have a copy.

Here is the setup for exonerating the guilty and prosecuting the victims. The story of 21st Century America.

At least this explains to me why they filed suit before Aiyana's body was cold, why their attorney was shooting his mouth off in a press conference so quickly. A big old hairy deal, getting as much on the record as possible, had to be made immediately or the police getting away with it was assured. As it is, I have to admit, there is a part of me hoping they tamper with this evidence and it finally causes America to get to her feet.

  1. There will be a phony investigation which is inconclusive followed by a cash settlement, financed by taxpayers. The pig who shot her will be back on the job after a paid vacation.

  2. I hate to think it, but, yes, that's the likely scenario.

I'm still hoping this ends up FINALLY turning the tide against that noise, though. It's SO horrifically FILTHY... and all my cells are squirming around wanting to UNDO this, to put a U turn in the barrel of that gun, to put lobotomy bombs in the TV crew's equipment... oh... all kinds of things....

  3. Shit like this happens all the time. This one's news because of the TV cameras.

  4. I know, I know. It's happening EVERY day, ALL over, but THIS one is extra huge because of the cameras, and the UTTERLY indefensibly OUTRAGEOUS murder of a sweet little girl. I find I am NEEDING it to stand for all of it, and going to take it hard if this doesn't somehow make the herd look up from their grazing.

  5. The media downplays things like this. A brief mention, if that, and then forgotten.
If someone offs the murdering pig who killed Aiyana, *then* it'll get coverage - they'll treat it like a fucking tragedy.

  6. You know, back in the day I probably would have agreed with you, but I think if that happens the media will IGNORE it. Probably not local media, but national media, not a peep. Because THIS constitutes what is now known as a "social cohesion risk" and THAT would cause riots in Detroit, if not everywhere.

... unless... unless of course they feel they are ready to go to war against us.

  7. If a sniper took out a Detroit policeman and remained at large, I think network news would be all over it.

  8. Yes. Much less inhibition to sensationalize on that... not quite the potential to incite riots... possibly dancing in the streets by now....
