Been out pulling weeds and trying to lessen the wreckage from all the hail storms. This is absolutely THE strangest Spring of my entire life. No question. No question. No question about it.

  1. Yep, it's been strange in the central valley also with more wind than normal around the Tracy area. It seems like all I've done for a few hours every day is pick tree stuff of the lawns and garden. It's going to be more of the same next week:(

  2. I'm listening to these two science writers waxing giddy about the beautiful May weather finally arriving... and I'm yelling, "Well, OBVIOUSLY, yer not in California!" Teeth chatteringly cold again, still, some more, right now.

  4. I heard some space lizard researcher saying the North Pole is moving to Siberia. I think he is wrong.

  5. We arrived at the camp site - about 1,500' elevation - Friday around 6 pm. Set up the tent in the midst of a hail/sleet storm. By the time we went to bed the precipitation had stopped and the sky was clearing. Awoke Saturday morning to a heavy layer of frost on the tent and cars. Sunny Saturday morning, but by noon we were right at the point where the cumulus clouds were forming over our heads before drifting east over the mountains. One after the other they would form and block out the sun. All afternoon it alternated between shade with a cold breeze and full sunshine cooking one's self. Jackets on and off all day. Last night heavy black clouds rolled in as we were eating dinner, but the rain held off until right after we had cleaned up. Went to sleep listen to the rain on the tent - a wonderful sound I think.
This morning it was once again cold and clear. By noon the cloud/clear sequence was starting again. As we headed home we could see lots of snow on the tops of the coastal range mountains and the upper foothills of the Sierra - unheard of this time of year.

Record cold all over the valley this weekend!

    Sheesh!

  6. Glad you made it out ALIVE!

News flash! The gods have declared my home the New North Pole.

It's sunny today, but I'm wearing my ultra-hot Chinese-filled coat inside so as not to have to turn on the heater. I have NOT needed to remind myself to put on my shoes and socks in the morning! My body has been loudly demanding it within moments of arising. BEFORE EVEN MY COFFEE!

  9. Oh - the weather wasn't the disaster!

    MY CAMERA BROKE!

    FUCK!

I was out Saturday morning, took 10 shots, went to shoot #11 and the camera was dead. I thought WTF - I just charged the batteries - are they bad?

Then I saw the batteries laying on the ground. The hook on the camera body that latches the battery cover broke off!

    FUCK!

Ive figured out a way to make it work, I need to find a screw that fits the tripod socket and a flat bar held by the screw to hold the battery cover closed. What a pain!

Needless to say, no Lake Mildred series this year...

  10. Made me go in quest of rum for my coke - at 10 in the morning!

After 2 drinks I decided I better quit since I still wanted to ride my bike - lots of trees up there...

  11. Look up Look wayyy up
They have been playing with the weather for a long time.
The amount of barium salts and alumminum they are spraying in the air that we breathe alone is enough to send most anyone in search or coke for their rum at 10:00 am.

Detoxify yourselfs , a good start is to puree lots of parsley and cilantro, add a few tsps to some CLEAN water and drink it. The choryphyl helps your body get rid of the accumulated metals your body is building up.

  12. I know there are chemtrails happening sometimes down in Mendocino, nothing like the complete blockout of the sky I've heard of elsewhere, but plenty people LOUDLY complaining anyway.

I have not once seen one here and I look up, way up, all the time.

There is, however, the bottom of a military drills area about twenty miles off into the Pacific from me, so they might be doing it out there. There is also the pollution from China streaming over here all the time, too, complicating things.

I only drink distilled water. I use it for my coffee and everything else I'm going to ingest. 86 used to chug chlorophyl from the health food store to keep people from smelling the booze on his breath... might be what kept him alive. I'll look into it.
