I think they might have finally stopped the daily bulletins about things to do to make 9/11 Truth loom larger in the minds of legislators and the general public. I am not against them. Truth is the only thing worth living for.
The truth is: The powers that be have shown that there will NEVER be a public recognition of 9/11 Truth in our lifetimes. It's a dead letter. They have used it to slaughter too many people and to mulch our Constitution. There is NO possibility of changing their minds about the official story. There is no possibility even of rallying the numbers to make that happen. Even if every single one of us were adamant about it, it, of itself, would accomplish NOTHING policy-wise. Maybe in a hundred years the truth will be allowed out in the open... if humans are still here to hear it.
Plus, hearing the truth about 9/11 is LESS apt to make people jump up off their butts than the truth about the economic meltdown at this point, the truth about exactly how mortally the banksters have wounded us, and how seriously many more people are going to die behind it. So, while you will never catch me missing a good opportunity to call bullshit on anyone mouthing the company line on 9/11, I understand why a lot of prominent people have decided to just skip it, opting instead to have some sort of ability to be effective in other things that matter greatly to the world, and I think it's time for all Truthers to come to some sort of similar compromise with themselves. Matters are too dire, irrespective of getting the truth out about what really happened on 9/11.
I admire the position Peter B Collins has taken on the matter. He very calmly tells everyone he interviews who mentions the subject that he believes we have not gotten the truth about 9/11 and proceeds to interact with them on whatever subject completely civilly. I think that is the absolute best that can be done. So even as I have stopped supporting his show because there is way too much partisan stuff on it, he does do some fabulous interviews with people who have a lot to bring to the table sometimes, and he seems to be an honorable man. He seems to have worked his hardest to reconcile the problem of sticking up for the truth within the big lie in the most honorable way left to anyone with a following. Some journalists flat out do NOT have this luxury. They will be howled right out of work immediately if they even do that much. Too many of them jump the gun to establish themselves as not conspiracy nuts by use of this when in danger of being pegged as such, but I even understand that. You and I pretty much don't have to weigh such heavy cost/benefit analyses, but people hoping to move the mainstream in the direction of actuality, backassward as it seems, are forced to make these concessions or their work is DOA. So I think keeping a bead on what is actual NOW, at this very moment in history, is the only way we stand a chance.
It's a big DUH that blogs prohibiting or avoiding the subject, unless, of course, you hew the company line, are NOT on your side. I know of one where they actively fight Truthers, but keep cranking out good information and don't prohibit the subject and that is: Antiwar. Other than that one, I don't know of any who aren't more concerned with becoming MSM or getting jobs with one of the parties, and so that means not going there is the sanest way. Or, deciding to use your combativeness against groupthink on subjects that bear on the PRESENT threats to life on earth is much more apt to have some USEFUL effect.
The signs that we are ramping up for WWIII are everywhere. There is PLENTY to howl about to friends and acquaintances to help prevent this that does NOT involve leaping body and soul into that quicksand.
.
If we overthrow the plutocrats running our government, THEN we can both prevent WWIII and get 9/11 Truth front and center... in addition to a lot of other wonderful things, like getting the Constitution back, prosecuting for war crimes, putting police forces back into their proper relation with the citizenry, clean energy, butting out of the Middle East, killing the Fed, single payer health, all kinds of fabulous stuff.
We have to stand with those who differ with us ideologically or this is IMPOSSIBLE.
Eyes on the ball.
Eyes on the ball.
