agent bb2 has never seen blade runner

I find this UNimaginable. It has struck me hard that there might be more people out there who have never seen that movie. Much as I loved the original Philip K. Dick story, and it did have more depth in spots, the movie was... IS... a masterpiece. While listening to this Corbett Report, I kept thinking about the Max Headroom episode where the hero is locked out of his apartment and denied all purchases by the master computer running society, having to go visit the outlaws called "Blanks" to get some actual cash to try to function outside the system. And then I was remembering PKD stories and Blade Runner and listening to James and it struck me. The American Dystopia of our most revered science fiction is here.

  3. I did a search on cable and found it playing in the middle of the night so I recorded it...

  4. You gotta rent it and watch the Director's Cut anyway, but what a letdown!

  5. Yes, watch the directors cut. The theatrical version was irritating.

  6. It was the fact that they made Harrison Ford's voice-over sound tinny and whiny... they dropped that for the director's cut.

    MASTERPIECE... either way.
