i guess i need to be grateful for some journalists

I wish they'd nail bigger mass murderers, but damn, this is important too. I was watching the Katrina hearing where the residents were testifying. The sound went out on a bunch of the testimony. I was pissed. I just KNEW it wasn't a mistake, but was left unable to state exactly why until I went to play the hearing again from the video archive. In the archive there were still spots with blanked-out audio, but NOT just blanketly for the ones they knew were on the bridge.

It still makes me crazy that they call it "looting" when aid and services were withheld for so long. Would you sit there and die? And it pisses me off that FRONTLINE is spewing all the cops' excuses, just as though it was their job.

Here, read this book and then tell me what you think of what happened and didn't happen in New Orleans five years ago.
