then bottom of page..."Ad maiorem Dei gloriam"

wiki--> AMDG--Many Jesuit schools and universities ask students to write the initialism at the tops of their papers, to remind them that even their schoolwork ought to be dedicated to augmenting the glory of God.

    RFC http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reconstruction_Finance_Corporation

The RFC established eight new corporations, and purchased an existing corporation. The eight RFC wartime subsidiaries are Metals Reserve Company, Rubber Reserve Company, Defense Plant Corporation, Defense Supplies Corporation, War Damage Corporation, U.S. Commercial Company, Rubber Development Corporation, Petroleum Reserve Corporation.

    Good Data though. :P

  4. Let us now praise famous men and our fathers that begat us. The quotation is from Sirach --- also known as Ecclesiasticus --- one of the Apocrypha of the Old Testament. The irony of the words is obvious and biting, for Agee is describing, minutely, the least famous, the poorest of the poor, the men (and women, and children) who lived in and around central Alabama in the middle of the depression, in the summer of 1936.

  5. That quote even misses the irony... I think. Agee was "praising" the famous men, the Glory to God types, for their "good" work. Basically showing them who was glorifying God.

    I hate this shit.

I hate the stock market and investing.

    I hate money.

It's all shit, filthy. It was never necessary and has always been for filthy people, "famous men". I love Max Keiser because he works so hard to uphold the Whale Wars guy, the planet, the people, but I even remind him it's all shit.

  6. And, yes, BB2, the Whale Wars guys are fighting... totally to be expected... whichever way it shakes out. Whether it's Watson trying to put the issue over the top by sneaky means or people trying to discredit him with it.

This world is a nest of hornets.

Morality doesn't pay and crime does. THEN you get the moral who think they're hot shit and brag about it, USE it to derogate others. Big mess.

Spiritual awakening is the only thing for any of it.
