good taste in movies

I have come to love listening to this man go on about whatever he's on about, and maybe the more so because he started out turning me off with certain outrageous statements about laughable or trivial subjects. I could not just cut off listening to him at all because there was a pulse in there despite all the outward signs, and I am glad I didn't just blow him off without giving him a full hearing. Turns out there IS a basis on which one might find the formerly laughable not trivial at all, but helpful instead. It's so welcome to hear what he has to say because he is so well-informed and genuine in his expression. He has things to say. Real things. Intensely non-trivial things. And oceans of his work are drowning out the hateful.
