i'm starting my long slow drive south in a while

This leg of the trip is all redwoods. There will be internet at all my stops, so I'm not really gone, just moving slowly down to the doctor appointment in Stinson next week and gonna try to get some loose ends tied up.

I hope I don't drive like an idiot. I didn't get any sleep.

Gonna take a shower... and just be careful as heck with my finger. If you hear any screaming in the next few minutes, you'll know it's not going as well as I'm hoping....

I made it. Inelegant in all the rain and fog and being completely unused to this car, but I made it. I'm drinking something fancy Peggy and Jim left for me while THEY went out to dinner. Harumph. You'da thunk they'd be tickled pink over my arrival, but nooooo... a free dinner is too good to pass up... even for ME. I'm gonna finish this whatever-it-is and have a can of worms for dinner....
