I'm worried about my neighbors' safety just now and must go sit in the corner and sip on some coffee... smoke a cigarette... go ohhhhhhmmmmm... Meanwhile, several countries well known for for their disregard of freedom of expression and information, including Thailand and China, have blocked access to cablegate.wikileaks.org.

Oh...

We are shocked to find countries such as France and the United States suddenly bringing their policies on freedom of expression into line with those of China.

Well, actually, this IS a real shift. They're not being covert about it. It's right out in the open. In Dubya's day they wouldn't have dared to do half this stuff. It's getting very rapidly much worse... but I hope they meant to allude to the Humphrey Bogart film kind of "shocked"... because it ain't no shock... just still hard to believe your eyes.
