then and now, now and then

Glenda Jackson was one of my heroes when I was a girl. I never missed a movie with her in it. As you can see, she didn't just lay down and die when she stopped getting roles. Indeed. Never merely pretty.

.

In case of insomnia, an old movie I haven't seen since it was in the theaters.

.

I cried and cried....

  2. WOW! I've been dying for that to happen! What a great gift. Thanks so much!

Actually... I'm wishing WikiLeaks had done that with the entire database to begin with... especially since they're being accused of dumping it all when they have NOT done that. I know they didn't do it because everyone ignored the information when they made it all available before, but I don't think that would be the case anymore. I think people have awakened to the need to pay attention.

A body can never have too many sheds. I've always said that! :o]

  4. Yuh. Saw it and decided not to think about it for another day. I kinda knew this would happen, but was so pleased the bus company wanted to run the ads. I'd thought everyone who needed to be agreeable was agreeable and just hoped the totalitarians wouldn't bestir themselves to forbid it. No such luck.

I didn't think they should advertise that they were going to do it. I thought they should have done it and announced it afterward... or even never announced it. It seemed almost as though they'd had this great idea but got cold feet when it seemed it would actually work. Maybe they were only intending to make something to bitch about for fundraising purposes and got caught out when the bus lines took the contract.

    You just never know anymore.
