a second judge goes all american on us

Because the individual mandate is unconstitutional and not severable, the entire act must be declared void. This has been a difficult decision to reach, and I am aware that it will have indeterminable implications....

  1. That makes about as much sense as cutting down a mature tree because one small branch broke off, or junking a car because it got a flat tire.

  2. Or cutting down a mature tree before it takes out your house in the next storm, or recalling a car that blows up when you bump into it....

It's going to end up making young people pay hundreds of dollars a month for health insurance that won't cover anything. It's going to make it so the government decides if you can afford the insurance or not. It's completely crappy legislation that is grossly unfair to many in the name of not helping enough. It's this crappy because fascists were putting lipstick on a pig to put one over on people. It isn't going to make anything better for anyone except the people who make a profit off sick people.

The governor of Vermont is devising a single-payer system for their state. Blue Cross wants the contract. Obama could have done that for all of us. Instead, he left in all the corruption and forgot about the humans.

  3. I do not know every nuance of that Act, but I know enough to say for sure it's going to be a bad train wreck, no matter what, and the only way to fix it is to nix it... because NOBODY was going to make it better, and CERTAINLY not now. So we should be glad at the prospect of getting rid of it. We don't need things getting even worse. My big fear is that this is SO right up the Republican's alley, they're going to do everything they can to KEEP it, while looking like they're trying to tear it down.

  4. From an evil root, an evil fruit! That bill was corrupt to its core, and I say scrap the whole thing! Yeah, yeah, I know what will happen, and I say, Bring it on! Sooner or later the American people have to learn to Walk Like an Egyptian, and I say the sooner the better! (Any self respecting Egyptian will tell you single-payer is the only fair and humane way to go.) Why can't Americans do what third-worlders do as often as they change their underwear, seemingly?
