As an alternative to a five-year foreclosure moratorium, perhaps a mandatory reduction of all U.S. mortgages to 0% (for the next five years) could also be considered?
ReplyDeleteHey, I'm all for that - then I could retire in about 3 years instead of 5!
But then Rin's hours for the summer just got cut to 4 hours/day and 4 day's per week with five weeks laid off - The school district she works for just cut 600 other jobs because of the reduction in state funding. The only thing keeping her on is that she works with the severely, multi-handicapped kids so her job is mandated.
