In the US living standards for some 16% of the population is already at poverty levels equal to the 1930s. Can you imagine where it would be without food stamps and extended unemployment, etc? This is caused by the wages of debt, accompanied by the disparity and inequality between the rich and the poor. That 16% is a total of some 45 million Americans.

.

The US government, which is profligate in its wars, profligate in tax cuts and bailouts for the mega-rich, and profligate in giving unlimited monopoly power to unregulated financial institutions, blames the resulting financial crisis on “handouts” to the poor and “entitlements” to the elderly. Such deception needs more than exposure. It cries out for a 21st century Orwell.

  1. After a great deal of looking around, it appears that some people in Upper Lake are living behind a levee. I don't think that was a good idea at all. I don't think this is a threat to anyone around the lake but the people in that neighborhood... might lower the lake level a tad....?????

  2. I'm trying to take a positive outlook about it. It might be the last straw for the nuclear power proponents, might end up getting every last one of the nuclear power plants on earth shut down, and this whole psychotic era behind us. The disaster might end up being SO costly, on top of the many other SO costly disasters, that people start getting the clue that MONEY IS HORSESHIT and should NOT be mandatory to living a good life. The radiation might mutate all the pathogens attacking me at the moment into revivifying agents. Howz THAT for positive thinking!

  5. It may be crap and blather, but one has to pick out the bits and pieces since there seems to be no other source - certainly as you point out, none that are telling the whole, unadulterated story.

The one advantage these reactors have on Chernobyl is that they use water as a heat transfer medium whereas Chernobyl used graphite blocks!

  6. Well, it's all the same when it's lost its containment and that seems to be what has happened. So there is no advantage left.

I'm thinking Michael Tsarion would flip out if he saw that Hitler Rap thing. Every single Illuminati and secret society symbol ever thought up, all in one video....

  8. The CSM and I are not on good terms lately... Doug isn't very happy with them either... and I have to say that piece was vexing as hell. Every time they try to assert that something IS exposed and releasing ever more deadly radiation, they immediately say something to make it sound as though that wasn't an assertion but only a possibility. Do you suppose they are trying to get us to shrug and give up, but retain the ability to say, "We told you so"?

I think I am at the point where I need a timeline and a map and some color coded symbols to try to keep this straight, but the general trend seems to be saying DON'T WORRY, IT'LL ALL BE OVER SOON.

  10. I dunno, dear, I can't seem to muster the moxie [pardon the pun] to blame any one particular person or entity for this. I'm sure Einstein would be in a blind homicidal rage if he were around, but not looking for a corporate megalith to bring down with it. There are too many AVID proponents of the shit with little or no skin in the game. I think it's really just that same old problem of geniuses outsmarting themselves and engineers with NO understanding that nature is ALWAYS stronger than anything they can build.

  11. Oh, oh, and leave us not forget the immortal attention to the bottom line beclouding all other considerations. That's THE operating principle of modern man.
