i mean

...I'm just so fed up with the hair-trigger sanctimoniousness on the left. It's at least as bad as on the right, which means no good can possibly come of it, no matter how virtuous the original intent. Too many of the most successful and outspoken liberals are so caught up in their own sanctimony they will drive us over a cliff without ever remembering to look up from this business in their laps. I see people try in good faith to bring up some real information about a better way forward with life and death matters, and get called a bigot or all manner of other nasty names by the sanctimony junkies before any good faith consideration of real ideas can start happening. It just never seems to let up. Every time I turn around I get splatted with it again.

So I'm way outside the box in my head right now.

Looking at so-called opponents for what virtues they may have, because leaping to call people awful names for pointing out that illegal immigration is rendering jobless or lowering the wages of blue collar workers, mentioning that the people in the vicinity of homicidal maniacs do have a moral duty to risk life and limb to stop them, besmirching Martin Luther King, Jr. for believing in "cloud beings" or "invisible friends" is just carrying things entirely too far.
